Basic Pie Dough

Basic Pie Dough
Adapted from Culinary Cafe

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 c. cold unsalted butter, cut in small pieces.
1/2 c. water, ice cold

Combine flour, salt, and sugar in food processor. Add butter and process until mixture is crumbly.

Add ice water slowly through feed tube with machine running until the dough comes together (after 30 seconds).

Turn dough plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour. This may also be frozen and kept for several months, just be sure to double wrap it to prevent freezer burn.
